finding the words to describe this session. this couple.  is providing yours truly with some difficulty.  i met haley and drew through mutual friends in charlotte and we immediately hit it off (side note: congrats jordan + ashley!). haley and drew are that couple you meet and feel instantly comfortable + like you’ve known them forever. my hubby jeff and i met up with them at midwood smokehouse in charlotte, nc to discuss their wedding details, expectations for the engagement session, and, of course, share beef brisket tacos! suffice it to say the conversation flowed beautifully all night long. they share a love of good eats, diy-projects, and great music. what is a good place to begin a fellow foodie e-sesh? the matthews farmer’s market!  i have honestly always wanted to shoot here. we had such fun wondering about, picking out great food, and speaking with all of the fabulous charlotte-area farmers.  take a look!

post-farmer’s market, we swung by their home to pick up their pooch, sampson (don’t you love that name?), and grab a few images around their fantastic chantilly bungalow…

early evening, we met up in uptown charlotte at their favorite restaurant, harvest moon grille, then onto the greenway to immerse ourselves in some seriously yummy light. :)

can’t wait to come back home to the south and celebrate with you both this fall!
